Shelly Burke
Painting directly from nature “en plein aire” is my responsive interpretation to the ever-changing characteristics of nature.

Rather than giving an accurate description of the subject matter before me - a sun-dappled garden with wafting tree shadows or the swirling patterns created by water reflections in a pond, I try to translate what I see into a dynamic painting that reflects my emotional reaction to it.
